Jaime Tyser earned her Master of Music degree at Lynn University; she studied with Marc Reese, second trumpet of the Empire Brass Quintet. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance in the studio of Dr. Keith Benjamin. Jaime has played with numerous ensembles including the MahlerFest Orchestra in Colorado, Palm Beach Opera in Florida, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, Omaha Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, the Omaha Brass Ensemble, and the Palladium Brass Quintet. She has also played in the pit for musical productions in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas as well as performed 7 recitals. She was a National Trumpet Competition semi-finalist in 2009, winner of the 2009 Lincoln Municipal Band Young Artist Competition, as well as the 2008 Lincoln Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition. In the summer of 2010 she attended her first summer program at the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestra Musicians. Along with playing she has had the opportunity to teach for Meyer Music of Kansas City, UMKC Community Music and Dance Program, Omaha Conservatory of Music and spent the 2011 summer as the trumpet instructor at Cazadero Performing Arts Camp in California.
